Why Astronauts don't snore?

Advantages of Nasal Respiration (Nose-breathing) while breathing from nose, due to humidification and hyperthermiation of outside air in the nose, majority of the saprophytic bacteria coming from outside air are removed.

The tongue root and surrounding organs subside by gravity It narrows the airway, and the vibration sound is generated by inhaled air that cause snoring. Therefore, astronauts don't snore due to the absent of gravity.

When mouth is open

When mouth is closed

When mouth is open: (There is a risk of steaming, Aspiration pneumonitis and deglutition pneumonia) The breathing is given priority and the entrance of the gullet has been blocked when the mouth is opened (Hyoid: hyoid bone falls) and hence the collected saliva flows into the organ.

When mouth is closed: (normal condition) Saliva flows into the gullet because hyoid (hyoid bone) goes up if the mouth is closed, and the gullet is a slightly open.
